The owners are banking on the fact that you won't notice till you fill your tank. Too late then. DONT BUY GAS HERE! Go across the freeway to the Valero. What is the point of having a Plenti reward card if you are not allowed to use it, because the cashier did not listen to you, only after it charges you tells you that the machine is out of order or does not read the card.
The credit card price at this Exxon station is $1 / gallon higher than the cash price. $4.42 vs $3.42 per gallon. The cash price is prominently displayed, the credit card price less so.
I think this practice is dishonest. There were multiple unhappy customers complaining about being gouged on price when my friends filled up there. Luckily someone warned them before they filled their RV completly at the 'rip off' price.
